Creeping Shadows

In this game, you must escape the clutches of an evil monster that has trapped you in an alternate dimension. While you are in its grip you cannot move outside its sphere of influence, so you must allow it to spread before you turn around and make your escape.

-download the 2 files from this link instead. I cannot upload on itch.io until game jam judging is over.  This is my interim workaround.  This version lacks the bugs I describe below, and is more playable in general.

If you are using the version off itch.io and are struggling with inventory issues  (particularly when you merge items) here are some tips.

Avoid letting items that will mix be at the end of your inventory. To merge them drag the one you received later on top of the one you received earlier, doing it the other way around has the highest chance of triggering the bug.
